Bright red colour in the glass with aromas of red berries, cloves, black pepper and rose aromas. The palate has fleshy red fruit flavours, fresh acidity balanced with firm tannin. This wine is fruity yet elegant and can be enjoyed slightly chilled.

The grapes were handpicked early morning, and transported to Paarl forvinfication. 20% whole bunches were included in the bottom of the tankbefore the rest of the grapes were sorted on top. The grapes were coldsoaked for 2 days before alcoholic fermentation. Twice a day the winewould get either a punch down or a pump over and it spent a total of 2weeks on the skins before basket pressing. Thereafter the wine was takento barrels, of which one was new Burgundian French Oak, one secondfill(French Oak) and the remained older French oak barrels for 10 monthsbarrel aging. The wine was racked and lightly filtered into the bottle. Onlysix barrels were produced.
