What makes Nurok so special? It is a true labour of love. This Old World blend of Chenin, Viognier, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne tells the stirring story of bravery and loyalty among Di (née Nurok) Back’s ancestors in adversity. Plus, it is one of our best award-winners, scooping a 90 Tim Atkin score, 4.5 star Platter rating, and 92-points in the Winemag White Blend Award in 2017. This wine is destined for fine dining and intended to be shared with loved ones.
Nurok 2016 is the top white wine from the Fairview farm, planted on steep Paarl Mountain granite soils. Each component used in the blend adds an individual touch to the final wine, without any grape dominating. With subtle oak flavours, intense fruit and lingering palate, this wine is a super partner to our local food, especially seafood and Asian inspired dishes. – Anthony de Jager –
