Fan of Italian wine? Then this one’s for you! Originally from Piedmont, Italy, Barbera is the quintessential, wine of the people, meant to be enjoyed young. The upfront dark fruit with charcuterie and tobacco leaf notes are beautifully balanced by a naturally high acidity and delectable cocoa finish.
The grapes were hand-picked at 22.8 degrees balling, destemmed and gently crushed into a stainless steel tank. Pump overs were done 3-4 times per day during fermentation. The wine was aged in 90% French and 10% American oak barrels for 12 months before being racked, blended and bottled.
