Vineyard sites:
Our Stellenbosch farm is a fantastic site for Merlot. These trellised vineyards grow on gravelly koffieklip soils and are carefully managed keepings yields low.
Winemaking:
Grapes were destalked, lightly crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks, pressed and sent to 225l barriques for 12 months. Older French and American oak barrels were used.
Tasting note:
Exotic aromatics, with a fresh cherries and currants. Sweet fruit on the palate, with softer tannins and gentle oak influence.
